Textiel Factorij is inviting Geetaben Meriya from India to the Netherlands. Geetaben, 6th generation embroidery craftsperson, will give various masterclasses across the Netherlands in September 2024. During her visit, we are setting up an exhibition with Kutchi embroideries displayed at Textiel Factorij’s brand-new studio in combination with various knowledge exchange sessions at different cultural organisations, academies from Amsterdam to Utrecht, Leiden to Rotterdam.
We look forward to a fun and interactive time mending and decorating our clothes using the special mirror flower embroidery technique that will be demonstrated by Geetaben!
